Whole Again.

Well hello fellow bloggers & moonkissedme followers :)

I do apologize for the near week break in my blogging schedule! I have been rather busy/tired/lazy the past week or so, and haven't found time to sit down and write! My house cleaning checklist has failed me this past week also! Actually, its more like I have failed the list this week!! I have started taking multivitamins again so hopefully that will kick start my mind & body into a new lease on life :)

So, what's been happening this past week? Let me have a think..

1- Missy Moo has decided she likes to walk! Holding mummy's hand of course.. She even runs.. And giggles!! Apparently walking is hilarious :) bless her. My little darling! Gosh I love her so much! She has a cold at the moment also, so my poor sooky lala isn't her normal self..
2- Mia has also learned to 'dance' sitting down. This consists of her shaking her head from side to side.. Haha - ahh she always makes me smile!
3- I HAVE MY NAILS BACK!!! Yeah baby!! Back in the day, a 17-21 year old Renee was a skinny mini (size 6-8ish), with perky boobs & longgggg, fake, acrylic nails. When I was ill in 2008, my acrylics were gone - they seemed fake (as they are) and a stupid, materialistic thing that seemed pathetic to me after nearly dying. Who needs fake nails and all the makeup in the world when all we really need is our health & loved ones?? Anyway, after being ill, I was still in the mindset of acrylics being pathetic - so I did not get them back. After a year, I fell pregnant, had Mia & then it didn't feel right to have fake nails - after all, I had a beautiful baby girl to look after - why would I want acrylic nails when all I needed was a happy, healthy daughter with a healthy mummy to look after her?? .. Now Mia is passed the 'let's eat that stick and choke' phase.. I decided it was time to reintroduce the past Renee, to the present Renee :) I decided it was a good time because I no longer need to stick my finger down Mia's throat everyday to pull out bits and pieces of sticks etc. Also because I believe them to look professional in a work sense - going into peoples homes and being on 'show' as such as a Lorraine Lea Linen consultant, I think they show that I do look after myself & that I am in fact a human being :) the third point, is simply that I LOVE having my nails. Obviously now I know that my nails & being skinny does not define who I am as a person - however it does make me feel good :)
4- Finally, I fitted into my pre-Mia jeans!!! Weeeeeehoooo!! Sure there are bits and bobs that poke out and over the top of them, but I figure - I HAD A BABY!! And I fit into my size 8 jeans, so a big eff you to all the critics!!!

So, in close, we have learned the following things:

Materialistic things do not define who we are as people, however they can contribute to making us a happier person :)

After having a baby, you eventually shrink back into your old body - with a few changes and bumps and lumps - but you're still there :)

And finally, something I always knew - my daughter is THE best thing in the entire world! With her spunky dance moves and her little walking legs.. She is my EVERYTHING ♥

  1. I wish I had nails too! I always used to have them when I lived in Perth but when I moved to Melbourne I couldn't bare to get them done by anyone else. I loved my nail lady!! Enjoy them xx
