One.

This time last year I was a big, massive whale. It was the eve of our baby girls birth & I can remember it ever so clearly.. Let me set the scene:

Winter. Rain. Ugg boots, leggings & a massive 'peace' supre jumper - totally stylin' I know! My belly button was poking out (about 2cm to specify) and I was super sized & FREAKING OUT! About two things.. One, I was having major abdominal surgery the next morning, and two, what was I going to do with a baby?! It was all very (not really) easy when she was growing inside of me, but what was I going to do with this tiny little screaming baby?! I remember I had a longggg, hot shower.. Shaved my legs, did my eyebrows, and took many deep breaths to calm myself. 

Sure enough - morning came, and by 6am Michael and I were at the hospital being checked into our room (sounds fancy! Haha). Nurses and doctors were in and out getting me ready for surgery.. I was still freaking out & expecting the worst! By 830am I had been wheeled off down to surgery and was in a waiting bay (like McDonalds, but for surgery, not fries). 845am came and it was MY turn to have a baby. FREAK OUT! "Now Renee, are there any other questions?" "No, but can you please make sure that my scar is straight?" *blank stare* hahahaha smile and nod. As I was wheeled through a nurse said to me, "What's the matter?! You look like you're going to a funeral - not to have a baby" .. I was white, shaky and quiet for once in my life. I was petrified. Surgery, then a baby. Two very scary things! Surgery was a breeze - no where near as horrid as I had anticipated. At 9.20am our gorgeous baby girl entered the world - Miss Mia Isabella. Born 22.7.2010 :) 

From that moment on our world changed, for the better in a million ways. I love my daughter more than anything in this entire world - and I want her to know that every single day of her life. I love you Mia Isabella. I am so so proud of you & to be your Mum.
